About Heritage Builders

Steve Holt started work as a builder in Leeds over 50 years ago and formed Heritage Builders in 1990 as the growing trend of people wanting to extend their homes and to convert their lofts and garages into extra living spaces really took off.

As specialists in extensions and loft/garage conversions, Steve recruited a dedicated and skilled team covering all-trades so Heritage Builders were able to manage each project "end-to-end". The additional control over quality standards, project timescales and flexibility was exactly what was needed when completing these often complex building projects.

Steve's son, Ryan joined his father in 2002 having completed his City & Guilds building qualifications and the formidable father and son team have continued to grow Heritage Builders through the years based on their local reputation for excellence in their field. Ryan took over the business in 2020 when his dad, Steve retired.

Working closely with local architects and the house owners themselves, Steve & Ryan add value to each project with their own ideas, innovation, experience and an eye for detail which only comes with years of delivering these kind of specialist projects.
